Some thoughts on the things I make…
I make baskets purely on a commission basis, I believe that baskets (and all crafts) should made for a purpose and used. Surrounding your every day life with, and using, beautiful objects made by skilled crafts people enriches life far more than having something sat on a shelf gathering dust. When a basket is finished, it is just the beginning of its journey and not putting it to use is a waste of the skill needed to create it.
